Our Agenda For Farmers

The party favours the creation of a National Farmer Authority to analyse the input costs and fix the support of their produce. Support Price for the farming produce should consider input & labour cost plus profit @25%. Farmers should get the opportunity of selling their farming produce at the Support Price throughout the year. Every Development Block should have a Cold-storage and a Warehouse for the farmers to store their farm produce. Income from agricultural farming and animal husbandry should be free from tax of any kind. Loans far advance agricultural implements should be available on minimum rate of interest. With the growth of population, the average farm holding is shrinking and with growth of cities & urbanization, more & more agricultural land is being converted into residential areas. The national Youth party thinks of formulating a National Policy on the issue of growing urbanization and stop conversion of agricultural land into residential area.
